Training providers have identified a growing need to make learning more relevant to the specific business environment to increase effectiveness.
This new qualification equivalent to the the "Foundation" level has has been developed for the catering, retail and manufacturing industries, the CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety replaced the CIEH Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene.

• Food safety hazards
• Temperature control
• Refrigerating, chilling and cold heating
• Cooking, hot holding and reheating
• Food handling
• Principles of safe food storage
• Cleaning
• Food premises and and equipment
Who should attend
Anyone working in catering, retail or manufacturing industry settings. .
Assessment
Employees who handle food will gain a firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved. They will have the confidence and expertise to deliver quality food safely to customers. Refreshments of this qualification is recommended at least every 3 years.

Cost: £60.00 per person (open course). £450.00 per day & CIEH fees (closed course)
