| Training Course Objectives The course is designed to cover the safe operation of either MEWP BOOM or MEWP SCISSOR LIFTS . Mobile Elevated Working platforms (MEWPs) Course Content Candidates will be taught and tested on the following aspects of MEWPs:- • Operators responsibility • Siting and stability • Safe working • Routine inspection • Accidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences. • Wind • Traveling to and from the workplace. • Movement by road. Who should attend The course is aimed at operators of MEWP BOOM or MEWP SCISSOR LIFT equipment items. Assessment The course is run by a NPORS approved trainer and there will be a theory and practical test. A certificate of training and ID card will be issued to successful candidates. Dates: Arranged on application. Duration: 1 da y Maximum Trainees: 4 maximum Cost : £450.00 per day (provisional - closed course) Note: The trainer will use the clients equipment and premises for the training and the client is responsible for ensuring the correct insurance is in place for any damages or liabilities resulting from the training.
