| Training Course Objectives The course is designed to provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the basic rules for personal protection at height and fall arrest protection.. Harness Awareness Course Content Generally the course will be run by lectures, videos, overhead projection, demonstrations, handouts and written assessment. • Basic rules for PPE • Fall Arrest Protection in 12 points • The pendulum effect • Safe use of harnesses and lanyards • Harness/lanyard inspection • European standards for fall arrest equipment • Lanyard attachment and free fall calculation • Care and maintenance of a harness and equipment • Fitting of harness and equipment (practical) • Video safety at the highest level • Course assessment (theory & practical) Who should attend The course is designed for managers, supervisors, operatives who work at height and/or require fall arrest protection. Assessment Written and practical assessments will be made by the tutor. Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate or training. Dates: Dates arranged on application Duration: The course will be run over one day Maximum Trainees: 8 maximum Cost: £100.00 per person (open course), £450.00 per day (closed course). Verifier - Normandie Health and Safety. 3 Year Certificate. |
