Training Course Objectives
This course is designed to provide course delegates with a thorough understanding of basic slinging requirements for those appointed to properly discharge these responsibilities.
Slinger / Signaller Course Content
Generally the course will be run with lectures, films, overhead projection and practical exercises, training handouts and assessment.
• Current Legislation including LOLER
• Marking of safe working load
• Testing and examination
• Safety precautions
• Movement and stacking of loads
• Slinging and load movement
• Correct use of lifting equipment
• Instructions of Authorised Slingers
• Personal Protection
• Recommend crane signals
• Practical use of lifting equipment and lifting demonstration
Who should attend
The course is designed for those who undertake the role of Slinger/Signaller as part of their normal duties.
Assessment
This course is run by a UK Tutor who specialises in this type of training. Successful participants will be awarded a certificate of training.
Dates: Arranged on application.
Duration: 1-3 days (dependent on experience of operative)
Maximum Trainees: 4
Cost: £220.00 per person per day (open course) or
£750.00 per day (Fully inclusive-closed course)
