Safe Digging and Cable Avoidance Techniques Course Content
Defining safe working, identifying hazards and risks, selecting and seeking advice on workplace precautions and assisting managers to prepare risk assessments. Workplace precautions for sources of hazards, fire, manual handling, electricity, display screen equipment, chemicals and substances, work equipment, movement of people, poor housekeeping and noise. Improving the organisations safety performance, including reporting relevant accidents and incidents, monitoring work activities, commenting on health and safety policy. Complying with requirements for control in safety management, co-operating with managers in safety activities, communicating on safety matters and identifying competencies required for safe working.
Who should attend
The course is designed for all employees, managers and employers to provide the foundations of a safety and health understanding.
Assessment
The course will be run by a registered tutor from Normandie Health & Safety Ltd. At the end of the course there are written question papers (multi choice and written).
Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate from the Institution of Occupational Safety and health (IOSH) - a recognised qualification in health and safety.
